Art Direction from concept to final deliverable for Nike Global Football Social campaign in Holiday 2019. We had 9 distinct images to get, and only 8 hours to get them.

problem

Nike Global Football social was hypothesizing a new way to showcase images on Instagram that felt real-life but also elevated conceptually. Budgets were tight, and we only had one 8-hour day to complete a full shoot of 9 distinct shots that would all live on Instagram. And it was raining.

 
 

Considerations

01

Boot Concepts

Mercurial and Phantom line of boots came with distinct concepts we had to hold to. Mercurial was all about speed. Phantom was all about precision.

Elevated Real Life

Photography should feel grounded in reality (real grass, real spaces) but have an elevated or slightly surreal feel about them based on their primary boot concepts.

Foundational

Along with the elevated images, we also need to collect a series of photos that were foundational to the boot based on showing off materials, design, plates, etc.

Concept and plan a one day shoot for 9 images that amplify Speed and Precision, grounding it in reality, but pushing it just a little bit.
